Newcastle Walking

Pic 1

Newcastle walking arrange walks three times a week throughout the year, in Northumberland, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Co. Durham, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland.

In Summer, coaches are arranged weekly by the Sunday group offering walks (a) up to 11 miles, (b) up to 8 miles; and (c) a small group who meet for lunch and conversation. Winter walks on Sundays are usually by public transport or car.

Shorter and slower walks take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, of up to 6 miles, usually in more local areas, but occasionally include a coach excursion further afield to the Borders, Yorkshire, or Northumbria.

We organise a 3/4-day walking weekend in March, a 5-day holiday to Yorkshire in May and a 5/6-day October holiday.

There is a leader for every ramble, and the route will have been reconnoitred beforehand, with the exception of holidays.
